Prenatal classes
This program is offered in partnership with VON Healthy Baby & Me. If you are expecting, or know someone who is, and would be interested in learning about prenatal nutrition, labour & delivery, and caring for the baby after it is born, please contact us to register. Again, registration is free for this program.
Parent-Child Mother Goose
Parent-Child Mother Goose is a national program that focuses on oral traditions of singing, rhymes and story-telling to enhance language skills.
Registration is free, but pre-registration is required.
If you are (or you know someone who is) a trained Parent-Child Mother Goose facilitator who would be willing to co-facilitate a session, please contact us with details.

Parent & Tot Playgroup
Another great resource for parents is the Parent & Tot playgroup held every Thursday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Sackville United Church. This is not a TFRC program, but we do work in partnership with the United Church to provide program updates and information.
Post-natal Peer Support Group
A new program at the TFRC, this support group is for all parents & caregivers of babies under one year. Come talk to other parents about all of the wonderful stages babies go through. share your tips with new parents, and learn some new ideas yourself.
This program is free, and does not require registration. The group will meet on Fridays at 10 a.m. at the centre (9A Willow Lane), though some meetings may be held outside. (going for a walk, etc.) For more information, call 939-8372 or email us.
Family Games Day
This program is held on the third Sunday of every month, from 1-3 p.m. at the centre (9A Willow Lane) and is appropriate for children ages 3 and up, with their parent or caregiver. This drop-in program is free, with board games provided by the TFRC.
Resource Lending library – books and pamphlets on a variety of topics, from nutrition to child-rearing

Active Kids Family Activity Pack Lending Library – A backpack filled with equipment and ideas for getting your whole family more active.
